ABOUT

A small shop building racing tools.

RacingLabs LLC is an independent software company based in the United States. We make desktop tools for racing enthusiasts, and we make them the way we would want to use them.

What RacingLabs is.

RacingLabs LLC is a small, independent software company. We are not a studio chasing a dozen products at once, and we are not backed into a subscription treadmill. We build a focused set of desktop applications for people who are serious about their driving — track-day regulars, karters, club racers, and the creators who turn their sessions into videos. If you log your laps and film them, you are who we build for.

Our mission is simple to state: help racing enthusiasts get more out of the data they already record. Modern loggers and phone apps capture a remarkable amount of detail about every lap — speed, throttle, brake, position, timing. Most of it never gets looked at again. We think that data deserves better than sitting in a file, and we build the tools that bring it back to life next to the footage that was shot at the same time.

We work close to the ground. We ship real desktop software, we keep the feature set honest about what it actually does, and we listen to the drivers who use it. When someone reports that a format will not import or a widget does not behave, that goes to a real inbox and shapes what we build next. We would rather do a few things properly than spread thin across many.

We also have opinions about how software should be sold. We prefer tools you buy once and own over things you rent by the month. We prefer software that works offline and keeps your files on your own machine over software that needs the cloud to function. Those are not marketing lines; they are how our products are actually built.

Our relationship to Apexcast.

Apexcast is our product. It is a desktop app that turns racing telemetry and video into broadcast-style overlay clips, and it is where our work goes today. RacingLabs LLC is the company behind it: we design it, build it, ship it, and support it. You can see the product in full at apexcast.io, and you can read more about what it does on our Products page.
